Ask

Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find, knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8

Rhythm

Everything in the universe has rhythm. Everything dances. **Maya Angelou.

Negative Emotion into Positive

Emotion is an important part of our creative process. What do you do when you are feeling angry and annoyed. You don’t want destructive creation which can stem from anger. You can use anger as a spring board. If we keep in mind it’s all energy. Our emotions, no matter if we label them positive or negative, they are a flow of energy.

The first thing to do is to identify why you feel angry. For example, someone has something you want. Or they have something you think you need. Ultimately what is the end result you want? What do you think you will get from the “having?” Happiness? Love? Good health?

Here’s the moment when the light comes on. When you can identifiy the underlying need you are trying to fulfill. You have the opportunity to stop focusing on what you don’t think you have. You claim your power back and use your energy and power to create what you desire.

Someone else having what you think you need does not keep you from having your desired outcome. The trick is to follow it the trail far enough back to identify your true desire. Is it the car? The relationship? The vacation? Or is it really feeling rich, confident or loved?

Find the truth and the universe will help you fulfill it.

Pho Soup

This soup has a power fragrant broth that helps keep you healthy or gets you back on your feet! I strongly recommend using as much organic as possible.

4-5 dried shitake mushrooms
10 cloves garlic-peeled and minced or pressed
2″ piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated or minced

1 lime, cut into wedges

To make Broth:

Put broth, garlic, ginger, sugar, vinegar, pepper, cinnamon, anise, and cilantro stems into large pot. Cover, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer, covered about 1 hour. Strain broth.

Add 2 cups water, mushrooms broken into pieces, onion and chicken breast cut into bit size pieces. Cook on medium-low about 1/2 hour.

To Make Pho:

Cook noodles according to package. Extra noodles keep well in the refrigerator.

Happy

No matter what, I’m going to be happy. I will find beauty everywhere and something to appreciate in everyone.

Transition

My 18 year old nephew passed away last night in an auto accident. We weren’t particularly close, but he’s family.

I truly believe death is a transition to another frequency of life. He has released his body. His name is Corie. I’m grateful for his sake and maybe my own also that his death was quick. He died of head trauma. The driver was thrown from the car and survived. I believe the driver now has the harder journey. Corie I trust is fine. He is no longer in pain.

Those he has left behind will miss his immediate presence and participation in our lives. His parents, my brother is most challenged by this loss. Working with seniors I’ve seen numerous parents lose their children over the last few years. I don’t want to know this pain. As parents we are challenged enough with our children’s struggles, but to have your child pass before you…sigh. I believe in eternal life, but I selfishly want my children to out live me.

Corie’s transition has evoked contemplation of life. This is the gift.
