Lying

Watched the movie “The Invention of Lying” Sunday evening.  Interesting movie from a relationship and creation perspective.  Everyone in the movie is more than telling the truth.  They are always saying what they are thinking.  It was pretty funny.  Then stop and think how often you are thinking things you don’t say.  That’s not always a bad thing, but we should be listening to what we are thinking.  From an energy perspective the vibration of your thoughts is still going “out there.”   There is a level that the other person is receiving it on even if there is no acknowledgment.  They may just feel uncomfortable and not know why.  They may react unpleasantly to you.  They may just ignore the whole thing.  Start to pay attention to how you feel about the people you are around.  What do you think when you are talking to them?  How are they reacting to you?

Everyone in the movie could only tell the truth.  No one knew how to lie.  Except for some reason our main character discovers the ability to lie.  He finds ways to make people feel good.  His “lies” most of the time are ways to consider another possibility or reality.

That’s what we are doing when we want to create a change in our lives.  We focus our energy on other possibilities.  For example if I’m feeling down or depressed and can turn myself around by saying joyful things.  I find just saying positive words gets my energy shifting.

Are we lying to ourselves?  We are creating another reality by considering other possibilities.

Anytime the main character told someone something they believed him.  It’s no different than what every our predominate thoughts and feelings are the “universal energy” or “god” is believing.  It doesn’t know what a “lie” is.

So if you aren’t feeling so beautiful, smart, wealthy, wise, or ??? you fill in the blank.  Start finding ways to start telling yourself otherwise.  Find ways to feel it.  The universe is happy to support your beliefs.

All is Well

Connecting with faith and trust we know all is well.  We know all is well because we also know we influence our experience by our thoughts and feelings.   Thoughts aren’t enough to influence creation.  That’s why many times affirmations don’t work.  You roll them around in your head.  Instead you need to bring the energy down into your body and feel them.  How do you really feel about what you “think” you want to create.  Sometimes we try to bite off more than we are truly ready to handle.  Try baby steps.

“If you know that all is well, you know all you need to know. And if you know life is supposed to be fun, you know more than almost anybody else knows. And if you know that the way you feel is your indicator of how connected you are to Source, then you know that which only a handful of Deliberate Creators, respective to the total population, really know.”

Good Morning

I’m having my morning tea and working the sleep out of my body and mind.  I love a leisurely morning when possible to have my tea, do some exercise and journal.  I feel more prepared mentally and physically.

One of my favorite teas is Tulsi or also known as Holy Basil.  I found it a few years ago and it just seems to be getting breaking into a larger market now.  It’s from India and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine.  It is said to help lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol and help you stabilize mood swings.

I can tell you it tastes great and I do find it helpful.  I find it relaxing, but not in the sleepy kinda of way.  More calming.  My sweetener of choice is Stevia.

Have a great day!

Curb Hunger

This morning I didn’t take the time to make my smoothie.  This is probably the first time since I started them.  I ate a yogurt, but noticed I started snacking on the junk food that was handy.  Ugh.  I realized I had been having an easier time walking past the junk food because of my morning smoothie made with 2 tsp of nutrient packed Sun Is Shining and 1 tsp of Maca.  It’s a quick and easy breakfast which I’m usually drinking on the run.

You can start with a variety of bases like Kefir, yogurt, any of the non-dairy milks like soy, hemp or almond.  Add your Sun Is Shining and Maca.  I also like to add a bit of Stevia for no calorie sweetening, some fresh or frozen fruit and a couple cubes of ice.  Blend away.  It’s quick, yummy and satisfying.

Defeat

We can turn defeat around and look at it as an opportunity.  Have we lost a game or had fun playing a game.  Did we lose a business deal or learn more about business.

Depending on the issue here we may just thank our lucky stars somewhere down the road when we see how things turned out for others who “won.”

Napoleon Hill quote:  Every defeat that you meet will mark an important turning point in your life, for defeat will bring you face to face with the necessity of renewing confidence in yourself, or of admitting that confidence is lacking.

There always something to learn if we are being honest with ourselves.  As long as we avoid the blame or victim game we will always be winners.

Nutured

I’m excited to be puttering around my yard.  It’s one of my forms of meditation.  I get more grounded, calm and peaceful wandering around the yard with no intense agenda.  My plants have no pressing needs right now.  I do a little weeding, feed the fish and water where needed.

I connect to myself and the earth.  I fall into rhythm with her breath.  I feel nurtured here.  I almost don’t want to leave sometimes.

My deck becomes an extension of my living space.  I generally leave the sliding door open.  My animals are happy with that arrangement.  That reminds me of a Sunday last year when I had opened the door in the morning so Mandy could venture out.  I went upstairs for a minute and when I came down a chipmunk had boldly come into the living room.  He turned tail and bolted out.  I had the door closed more after that.  That didn’t last too long.  The door is slid open again.

I’m sitting on my deck with one of my favorite teas, Tulsi or also known as Holy Basil.  It’s not related to the herb Basil.  It comes from India and has a mild, pleasant taste.  I like my tea sweetened with Stevia so I’m not adding calories and it has no effect on the blood sugar like sugar does.  I found Stevia years ago when I discovered I had some Candida issues.  Stevia helped me avoid feeding the candida but still have a bit of sweetness.  I think it enhances the flavor of my tea.

Besides the great taste of Tulsi the other reason I drink it on a regular basis is all the positive attributes it has.

Tulsi Benefits:  Reduces stress, supports the immune system, abundant in antioxidants, builds stamina, aids digestion, supports adrenal and lymph health, powerful adaptogen, helps to balance the metabolism.

Cheers to a peaceful evening even though I’ll be working on my taxes next.  Hmmm, I’ll put on another pot of Tulsi first.

That which is hidden.

I recently felt frustrated over feeling another health challenge.  I asked myself what the conflict was going on in my body.  After talking to a friend about this he suggested I restate the question to ask “What’s hidden that is creating this reaction in my body.”  I put the question “out there” or really “in there” to my subconscious wisdom and guidance.

I wasn’t giving it any thought today when the answer came.  I didn’t realize it at first until I was reflecting on my day later.  In speaking with someone at work I found that several people I work with were sick.  Two of whom I didn’t realize were sick.

Considering this I realize I was handling it quite well.  I also realize the judgement and lack of compassion I had for myself.  I do a lot to maintain my health.  You can check out my Nutrition, Tea and Bio-Mat sections to see some of my favorite ways to stay healthy.
