Children

My children have been a wonderful blessing. I believe they have taught me as much as I may have taught them. They have reflected back to me those things I like about myself and things I feel challenged to face.

Child of mine, I will never do for you that which I know you can do for
yourself. I will never rob you of an opportunity to show yourself your
ability and talent. I will see you at all times as the capable, effective,
powerful creator that you’ve come forth to be. And I will stand back as
your most avid cheerleading section. But I will not do for you that which you have intended to do for yourself. Anything you need from me, ask. I’m always here to compliment or assist. I am here to encourage your growth, not to justify my experience through you.

In your eyes I see myself.

This makes a great meditation with a partner. Sitting or standing facing each other. Look into your partners face. Take turns saying, “In your eyes I see myself.”

Isn’t it wonderful when love is reflected back to you. It’s warm and fuzzy. Life is great and so is your partner.

Oh no what about when it’s not so pretty. What about when anger and resentment is reflected back. How are you feeling about yourself? What’s wrong with them?

How am I not loving myself? How can I love myself more? How can I take better care of myself? What am I resenting? What choices am I making?

Thank your partner. What a blessing to see yourself more clearly.

MSM

I have recently added powdered MSM to my daily nutrient drinks. I usually have two a day, morning and late afternoon. I have also started adding to Mandy’s food because she has major allergy issues. We are on day 3.

I have noticed the increase in circulation for myself. With the severity of Mandy’s condition I think it will take a bit longer and I need to increase her dosage a bit.

I love using the tools that nature has given us for healing. MSM is a food that is easily used by the body.

I don’t like to recommend to many things I haven’t tried myself so I’ll keep you posted on the benefits I experience along with Mandy’s progress.

What’s in a Name

Various experiences over the years since my divorce about 15 years ago have made me think about reverting to my maiden name.  The first and most important reason I didn’t change it immediately after the divorce was my children.  I didn’t want them to feel I was some how rejecting some aspect of them.

The topic surfaced recently when I was introduced to a wonderful Numerologist in the UK via the internet, gotta love it, Marusja Harasymiw.  My boyfriend had his analysis done and was very impressed with the accuracy.  He arranged one for me also.  I let her know I had considered changing my name so when she did my analysis we also took time to talk about the influence of my current name.

Her analysis is great.  It confirmed many things that I do know about myself.  Being 49 and having done a lot of the work I have such as yoga, meditation and the Barbara Brennan School of Healing I have come to know myself pretty well so there weren’t any surprises.  I did get some good reminders. Good validation and a nudge in the right direction.  We can really get in our own way with self doubt sometimes.

The analysis is pretty indepth and covers different periods through out your life.  I appreciated why I’ve had some of the life challenges that I have had and why I made some of the choices I did.

The analysis also gave me a good idea what was important for me to focus on this year and an idea for the future.  I came to realize the things I was waffling about were much more important right now than I had realized.  I’ll call it the Divine giving me a wake up call that Marusja and I connected.  Yup I needed that message.  Thank you.

So let me introduce or in some cases reintroduce myself:

Susan L. Strahosky

Am I reinventing myself?  No, I’m reconnecting or deepening the connection with my true self.  The vibration of this name serves me better.  It supports the truth of who I already am.  There are so many influences in our lives from a young age that make us forget or reject important parts of ourselves.  It’s always a blessing to have a reminder that you are a blessing to this world.  Not that I was doubting it.  I was also reminded of some key gifts I had come into this world to share and I must admit I have gotten off tract a bit over the past few years.  The last few years have been quite an education.  I’m sure I will put it to good use.  Maybe it’s time to take that piece and pick up the others.  I really prefer to have the glass half full.  No mistakes please, just learning opportunities.

As I was reading my analysis I couldn’t help thinking how beneficial it could be to have something like this when you are young.  It’s a great tool to use on your life journey.  We have been blessed with many tools and each of us have to find what works for us.

I’ve ordered an analysis to gift to each of my children.  They may not think much of it now.  My hope is that they will gain some insight and maybe some more appreciation for who they are.  I hope it helps them to share their essence with the world.  We can all use a reminder once in a while.

Marusja is intuitive and a delight to work with.  You can find her at marusja@gratefulminds.co.uk

Guarded

Guarded

Is there an area of your life where you are afraid to really enjoy what you have, trusting that there will be more or enough?

Here’s Mandy guarding her bone that she has moved for the 100th time.  Now it’s in the ivy.  She has worried over this bone for the past two weeks.  Of course she doesn’t know I have another one for her in the pantry.  I almost hate to stress her out by giving her another one.

It made me reflect on myself.  How do I guard my things instead of enjoying them.  Is the universe saying this to me also.  “I don’t want to give her any more, she’ll just worry over it.”

Thanks for the reminder Mandy.  There’s more.

Inner Truth

How honest are you being with yourself?  Huh?  What do you mean?  Of course I’m honest with myself you think.  Are you?  When is the last time you sat quietly and asked yourself a question and then really listened?  Don’t we normally just love to just say “This is working or things aren’t the way I want or I really want such and such.”  Most often we aren’t investing the time to explore what it is we really want.  Sometimes we have a hard time admitting what it is we want because of judgment.

It’s easier to blame the world outside of ourselves.  That isn’t going to get you what you want though.  Take some time today to listen.  Pick an area of your life that “isn’t working.”   Get a notebook and write it out.  Write out your questions, thoughts and what you think your heart truly desires.

“Be a servant to your heart’s inner truth, and your life in turn will bow to you and its Master.” –Elizabeth Clare Profit

Happy exploring.

Everything you experience is based on what you decide it will be.  Your experience is what you expect even when you don’t realize you are expecting it.  Make it what you desire by deciding what you want to experience.

Large changes are usually harder for people to maintain.  Like going from poor to winning a huge lottery.  They may be able to accomplish the leap, but not hold onto it.  Reach for smaller changes and allow yourself to consider a new possibility.

Don’t force, push or pull.  Allow.  Allow yourself to feel good.  Allow the energy to flow and the experience will follow.

One of the reasons I enjoy chanting meditations so much is because I embody the vibration of the words and sounds.  You can’t just think you want to feel good.  You can’t just think you want some change in your life.  You need to feel it and embody the vibration of it.

MAKE IT a great day.  FEEL the great day.

Pau d’Arco Tea

I just added another one of my favorite teas to my site.  Check it out Pau d’Arco.  This is a pleasant, mild tasting tea that is great for cleansing candida and balancing the bowel.

I usually drink it just because I enjoy the taste lightly sweetened with stevia.  I enjoy the flavor of all the teas I’ve recommended.  They have great healthy benefits and taste good.  Enjoy

Abundance

It’s fabulous outside.  The temperature is perfect and there is a wonderful breeze.  My garden is a haven and I feel expanded and abundant here.  I am particularly abundance in maple seeds.  If I don’t clean out my gutters I end up with a wonderful miniture forest there.  I appreciate it, but other people tend to frown upon the practice of growing a forest in my gutters.  It really looks cute.

Since I’ve been spending more time outside I’ve been noticing this abundance of maples and realized this is a valuable resource I could profit from if I was so inspired.  The universe is delivering, literally on my doorstep and everyone else for that matter the material for a maple tree farm.  Now I don’t know what the demand is for maple trees, but I bet with the right intention and attitude I could make my fortune from this one tree’s efforts to spread life.

How do we move from abundance (maple seeds) to riches.  Right action and passion.  How do you know what right action is?  I believe it comes from listening to your heart very closely.  Not your head, but your heart.  I think we tend to get caught up in our heads.  We need to consciously bring our attention, awareness and energy down into our bodies and feel what’s here.  Feel how your body reactions when you make choices.  Listen to it’s sign language.  You may feel your gut knot up or your legs tighten.  Don’t disregard those things.  They don’t happen for no good reason.

Pay attention to what truly makes you feel good.  Not what you think makes you feel good.  We think and figure way too much.

Feel it.
