MSM
This is the best toothpaste I’ve found. I found it by chance on clearance at the local health food store. After trying it once I went back and bought the remaining clearance tubes. Now I found a great price on it here. Thought I would share. This was my first experience with MSM.
I now take it in powder form every day to keep my joints healthy and skin healthy. I’m not going to age gracefully. I will choose to age with youthful vigor and energy. It works synergistically with vitamin C so add it to orange juice or a smoothie that has something in it with vitamin C.
Some of the benefits of MSM besides helping your joints:
Combats parasites and fungus
Improves hair and nails.
Reduces symptoms associated with allergies, including respiratory congestion, itching, mucus and general discomfort.
Increase’s the body’s ability to metabolize carbohydrates.
Helps the body absorb more nutrients.

Spark
I was listening to a relationship coach the other evening and they said something interesting that has me thinking and reflecting. Their statement was, “The Spark in relationship comes from our differences, not our similarities.”
Reflecting on my own relationship I can’t say that I agree. I don’t think you can put “spark” in a box and neatly define it. I remember our first date. The sparks that were flying had nothing to do with differences. I remember being excited that we had similar languages, so to speak. We were both familiar with Law of Attraction, we are both creative, and spiritual.
Do our differences create spark? Sometimes. I believe we have both enhanced each others lives with our differences.
I really believe “spark” is felt from a vibrant life force energy. When my partner is creative and excited about his own life. When he is caring for himself I find him much more attractive.
What do you think? What do you believe creates the “spark” in your relationship?
Statement of Being
As I move into this time of creation, I feel the power of something bigger than me, moving with me, supporting and empowering me. I know all things are possible.
As I explore how I am going to create the healing I desire, I will notice this support and acknowledge it. I know that I do not have to figure this out all at once.
All I have to do is begin right where I am and consciously choose to move toward what I want.

My life is right now a time of discovery and creation. Out of my own being I feel the joy and freedom that comes with knowing I can create reality.

Listen
I’m about 1/2 way through the book Stones into Schools by Greg Mortenson. It’s a great book about his experiences helping to rebuild schools and bring peace in Afghanistan and Pakistan. I love this passage and wanted to share this from the book:
“We had come into this stricken valley in order to build schools and to promote education, we were inviting the people of the area to become our teachers. And in so doing, Sarfraz and I wound up relearning the lesson that had originally been imparted to me, all those years ago, by the silver-bearded Haji Ali in the village of Korphe.
When you take the time to actually listen, with humility, to what people have to say, it’s amazing what you can learn. Especially if the people who are doing the talking also happen to be children.”
You know when you hear a truth. You get one of those heightened feelings. He goes on in the book to relate a story of how they couldn’t figure out why students weren’t coming back to school. It was a child that had the answer.

Unplug
In this era of technology it’s important to unplug. Turn off your phone, TV and internet and spend some quality time with yourself and your loved ones. When was the last time you spent time with someone you cared about without checking your phone or internet?
Meditation is another opportunity to unplug. Or maybe I should say it’s another way to plug into a higher source. It’s easy to get away from a regular meditation practice. I know this first hand. Sometimes it feels like there is so much to do that you can’t possibly take time for yourself. It’s worth it though. I can also attest to the fact that when I take the time to practice some form of meditation I function better. It doesn’t have to be sitting quietly. Sometimes I’m just too keyed up to start there. That’s what I like about active meditations like Tai Chi, yoga or even walking. It helps me to move energy and quiet my mind.
The idea though is not to just go through the motions and let your mind continue it’s babble. To use activities as meditation you need to bring your focus inward. Bring your focus into your breath. Use your breath as the bridge to expand your awareness into your body and quiet your mind. Become the observer.
If you don’t feel you have the time you can start small. Take 15 minutes. Try taking a class. A commitment to a class helps as well as the group energy.
This is a great gift.
In Joy.
Stones into Schools
I have just started reading the book by Greg Mortenson, “Stones into Schools.” He literally stumbled upon his mission in life when he got lost coming down a mountain. He found a small village in Pakistan and he found his direction and passion. I will give you the opportunity to read his story, but his mission is education. Promoting peace with books not bombs. Imagine that.
This is a true story of Greg’s experiences of supporting education in Afghanistan and Pakistan. I had read Charlie Wilson’s War about the US involvement in helping Afghanistan fight the Soviets. After that victory the US pulled out without helping them bring order back to their war torn country. This left them vulnerable. Enter the Extremist’s who forbid girls to be educated and they limited the freedom and power of women.
Somewhere else I remember reading how common it is in war for the enemy to cripple by attacking the women. I believe this is an unconscious attack on a society’s source of power.
Economists and development experts around the world have realized that educating young women can be the biggest potential agents of change in developing countries. It is sometimes referred as the Girl Effect. African proverb:
If you teach a boy, you educate an individual; but if you teach a girl, you educate a community.
This book is the follow up from Three Cups of Tea, which unfortunately I haven’t read yet. Three Cups of Tea is where this story really begins. You won’t be lost if you don’t start there though. I haven’t read it yet. Stones into Schools was handed to me. There are no accidents.
This is an inspiring book. My own mission statement has been to empower people in my healing practice. This man, Greg Mortenson, is working to empower a nation. Impressive.

New Page
I finally figured out how to create a book page with the links I wanted. I’ve been wanting to share some of the great books I’m reading. Here’s one of several I have going. What If It All Goes Right? Creating a New World of Peace, Prosperity & Possibility by Mindy Audlin. Tony gifted it to me and the timing was good. Have you noticed how that happens? I’ll stop reading a book for a while, then pick it up when I really need to read what was in the next section.
What if … everything is in divine order right now. Doesn’t the unknown just scare the bejezzes out of you sometimes? We hang on, ok I hang on resisting the change. Ugh. OK time to let go. Trust. Thank you.
Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it. Buddha
