Energizing Tea
Yerba Mate is from South America. It combats fatigue and sleepiness and sustains you throughout the day. I can’t tolerate heavy effects of caffeine. This does have a bit of caffeine in it, but does not create the same unpleasant reaction I get from coffee.
Yerba Mate is more than just a stimulating drink. It is a wonderful source of antioxidants. It has a full complement of vitamins and minerals, including chlorophyll which is great for your digestive system and blood. It also has vitamins A,B,C,E, magnesium, potassium, iron, pantothenic acid, and much more. This makes Yerba Mate an excellent immune boosting tonic.
Yerba Mate is great hot or cold. Try it with lemon, lime or add a bit of your favorite juice. It tastes great with milk and honey.
When I’m home I prefer to make my tea using a French Press. If I’m on the go it’s nice to carry a few bags with me. I find most eateries don’t have a great tea selection, but they are usually happy to bring me hot water.
Try it yourself and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear back from you.

Holy Basil or Tulsi
Holy Basil is native to India. It is known by either Holy Basil or Tulsi. The benefits of this herb make the name Holy Basil quite appropriate.
Benefits include:
*Stress reduction
*Assisting the body in resisting bacterial and viral infection
*Promotes respiratory health
*Promotes digestive health
*Good for the eyes
*Strengthen kidneys
*Reduces cholesterol
I have personally experienced the stress reducing qualities and the heart opening qualities of the tea. The tea has a wonderful, mild flavor. I like to slightly sweeten it with Stevia. You can also get it in capsule form if you aren’t a tea drinker and just want the health benefits.
Try it for yourself: Holy Basil Tea
