Embrace Your Passion
I embrace my passion and I imagine and feel my passion embracing me. We dance, sing and create the life we love. My passion is in partnership with my heart. Together they are powerful. Beauty springs up before us as we share what we love with the world. All aspects of myself come into harmony.
Creativity
I allow my creative spirit to guide me.
Lady Bugs
I had an interesting encounter with lady bugs today. I was hiking at Tumble Run in PA. There is a rocky area that I typically climb up to enjoy the view. There were more lady bugs up there than I have ever seen in one spot. They were flying around. Maybe enjoying some of the last of days of warmth as Autumn approaches. I have been up there many times through out the years I have never encountered lady bugs there. They were landing on me and crawling on me. I took some pictures, but sure wish I had a macro lens. I looked up Lady Bugs in Animal Medicine to see what energy they gift us with.
Ladybug:
Ladybugs are about metamorphosis, growth and manifestation of ideas and thoughts. It is a time succeed and start something new. Ladybug Beetles have a protective quality that will aid in the ability to socialize and communicate effectively by illuminating problems and situations in the correct perspective. Are you socializing too much or not enough? Are you eating correctly? Now is the time to examine eating habits. Can you identify which stage of development are you in egg/larva/pupa/adult?. Is it time to "fly" or walk in life? Ladybugs will show when to hibernate ideas/actions and emerge in opportune moments. Ladybugs will teach persistence with charm, trust in the process, effectiveness of natural defenses, transformation of unwanted fears along with proper movement and actions which allows the regeneration of your spirit to prosper.
I believe the universe looks for many ways to assist us on our journeys. It’s important to pay attention to what is showing up in your environment. Pay attention and see what the symbolism is trying to tell you.
Escape
Haven’t updated you lately on the bunnies. Didn’t release them this weekend. I don’t think I’m ready or they are, except for one little guy. He keeps escaping from the bunny pen. It took me awhile to catch him tonight. I stopped at one point and asked myself what I could learn from this situation. I wasn’t exactly having fun!
I realized I was in predator mode trying to catch him. Yea, I’d run also!
I stopped and connected with him on an energetic level. Become the bunny. Breath, relax, catch the bunny. Hold him to my heart. Put in the pen with his buddies and plenty of food.
I’m sure my friends with horses that follow the Parrelli methods will appreciate this.
I wonder what else they can teach me?
In Joy.
Perfect Timing
Some things you’re not letting happen right now because the timing isn’t
perfect for you. Some you’re not letting happen because you are very aware
of where you are. But all things, as they are happening, are happening in
perfect order. And if you will relax and begin saying, “Everything in its
perfect time. Everything is unfolding. And I’m enjoying where I am now, in
relationship to where I’m going. Content where I am, and eager for more,”
that is the perfect vibrational stance.

This is a good reminder to be in the now and know that everything is falling into place. When anxiety creeps in as we know it does remember to breath. Use the breath as a bridge to bring you back to this moment and remind yourself all is well. I also like to do chanting meditations. The sound current gives me something to feel and helps me to shift out of fear and distrust. The sound raises your vibration out of fear and uncertainty.
The law of attraction is based on vibration and feeling. What makes you feel good? What helps you feel safe? Sometimes it’s helpful to reach out to another person. We all need a hand and support. I’m offering one free long distance healing session a day for the month of August. That’s one free per person. Leave me a comment here on how to reach you to set up your appointment.

Rabbit
I believe animals bring us messages and energies from time to time. No, I’m not talking about things like the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. Even though honestly I think that would be very cool. I’m referring to symbolism and energy. I’ll use the rabbit as an example. I have been having regular interaction with rabbits this summer. The other day I tripped over a rabbit nest in my garden. It wasn’t enough to disturb it, but enough to get my attention. I knew it wouldn’t be long before my dog or cat also discovered it. I decided to wait and see what would happen. I was hoping it would go unnoticed.
This afternoon as I was working on my deck I became aware of my dog finding the nest. Don’t worry she didn’t get to the bunnies. I knew what she had found and got her out of the way. A part of me really didn’t want to take on responsibility for these babies. I didn’t feel like I had a choice though. Otherwise it was a sure death sentence.
I’ve raised wild baby bunnies numerous times because of having dogs. It has been a few years though. Over the last number of years it seemed like the rabbits were avoiding my yard. That was fine with me. OK, so now I have four babies to feed until they can take care of themselves. It looks like they have just recently opened their eyes.
This is the meaning or symbolism that rabbits can bring to you:
Movement in life, fertility, sensitive, artistic, plan for possibilities, check what is in motion now, move carefully in work or play, allows for taking advantage of brief chances available. Is it time to observe and watch or time to make leaps? Rabbit can teach you how to plan and helps in setting them in motion. How are you eating habits? Perhaps you need to increase your vegetable intake? Rabbit is a joy so enjoy the movement at this time.
Not all animals that cross our paths have a personal message for us. If they do have a message they usually do something to get your attention. Sometimes out of the ordinary behavior. With four babies to feed I will have plenty of quiet time to listen a little closer. I do know the universe has been wanting me to take some quiet time. So we shall see or hear.
My diet has not been great. I will definately make that a priority.
Feeling Useless
There is nothing useless here. The universe has put nothing here that doesn’t serve a purpose. It is our job to discover or allow ourselves to use our gifts and talents. We all have a part to play. Put aside the judgment and get curious. Even those things we label as bad have a purpose. All challenges and experiences play an important role, even if we don’t understand. We get disappointed and/or angry. OK, when you are done with that try moving on to curious. What do you have to learn? What is this giving you? How does it motivate you? What can you learn today?

Appreciation
I thought I had been contemplating appreciation for about a week. The word was brought to my attention at the Lancaster Art Walk last week. It just occurred to me that I was just reminded of it. During the art walk I met the artist who created The Journey Oracle cards. I asked a question about something that has been causing me a good bit of stress and the appreciation card popped up.
I realize now that appreciation has been bubbling around trying to get my attention for a few months now actually. A few months ago I wasn’t feeling appreciated. I wanted to be appreciated. Low and behold shortly after I made that statement to a friend I received appreciation from a number of people. Cool.
So appreciation has re-surfaced to teach me a bit more. It has me contemplating. I appreciate that. I like to contemplate actually. Appreciation has re-surfaced around something I’m not appreciating. Uh-oh. Or I should say I’m challenged to appreciate. I have begun to find ways to appreciate it. Sorry I’m being vague here. I have to protect the innocent. Changing their names isn’t enough. Maybe I can help another way though.
Let’s face it, it’s easy to appreciate those things that make us feel good. No brain-er. I appreciate the view from my kitchen sliding glass door. I have no view when I’m sitting in my office. I appreciate my lap top, I picked it up and moved into the kitchen so I can glance up occasionally as I’m contemplating and enjoy the beauty of nature. I also appreciate my new kitchen and table and chairs. There’s a lot to appreciate here. Now there is a thing or two I’m not so crazy about. I have a small kitchen with very little storage so I put a very nice looking shelving unit in front of the sliding glass door that is stationary. Hmmm…blocks my view a bit. OK, so now I know I would prefer or appreciate a view with no obstructions.
OK, so here I can appreciate knowing what I don’t want so that I can create more of what I do want, and…the universe is listening. I know it. I will admit that somethings seem to show up easier than others. You know like when I felt like I wanted to be appreciated before, that showed up pretty quick and easy.
Time is relative you know. When something doesn’t feel good. When a situation feels down right yucky dare I say. I could use other words here, but I’m in a good mood, so yucky is good enough. I really don’t want to contemplate how I really feel when “that situation” occurs. What I do need to contemplate is what is the message here. How can I appreciate this painful situation with a particular person.
One thing has occurred to me. Maybe I just need to remove myself from the picture. Maybe this person has entered to make it easy for me to leave. I know I wouldn’t leave if everything felt good. I wish I could actually. Now that I think about that. I would prefer to make a change just because something else just feels better. So I’m asking here and now. What would feel better? I don’t want to feel forced out. I can’t be pretty stubborn though. So what if I just tell the universe, “you don’t need to hit me over the head.” Just show me what would feel better and make it so good I can’t say no. Thank you.
How about you? Is there anything you’re having trouble appreciating. What would you prefer “it” to feel like. Contemplate what would feel better.
I’m going to relax and just be for now. I’m going to appreciate this peaceful moment. How about you?
In Joy,
Susan
Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
where there is injury, pardon
where there is doubt, faith
where there is despair, hope
where there is darkness, light
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in the giving that we receive,; it is in the pardoning that we are pardoned and it is in dying that we are born into eternal life.
Amen.
I’m not one to normally look to prayers like this for strength and inspiration. I must admit right now I’m appreciating this prayer and realizing the connection to the Law of Attraction.
Today I was listening to Dr. Wayne Dyer’s recording of “It’s Never Crowded Along the Extra Mile” I felt a million miles away from where I used to live where it felt so much easier to be positive and the glass was half full. Of course I had my challenges then also. They were different though.
A number of years ago I wasn’t working so publicly. Now I work with many people daily. Now I must put into practice what I thought I knew. Now I have to strengthen those muscles.
